BeWAXed, a Sri Lankan salon chain specialising in waxing services, has opened an outlet in New Delhi through a collaboration with Tip & Toe India.

The outlet is on the second floor of Tip & Toe, Shop No. 31, Meharchand Market, Lodi Colony. The business lists 28 September as its soft-opening date.

The Delhi opening follows the brand’s entry into Chennai, where it operates locations in Adyar and Alwarpet. BeWAXed reports a presence across Sri Lanka, the Maldives and India.

Founder and chief executive Durga Kenny established the business 13 years ago as a salon dedicated to waxing, and has overseen its growth from a single Sri Lankan location into a chain operating in several markets. She said the Delhi opening represented a further opportunity to introduce the business to customers in India through the partnership with Tip & Toe.

According to the company, the arrangement pairs its own service offering with its Indian partner’s established presence in the beauty and wellness sector. The brand focuses on waxing and complementary skin-care services, and describes its operating approach as combining trained specialists, selected wax products and standardised service procedures. It said the Delhi outlet is intended to follow its existing training, hygiene and client-service practices.

Sri Lankan consumer brands expanding into India face a far larger but more competitive market, in which organised salon chains compete with a long-established informal sector. BeWAXed has not disclosed the investment involved in the Delhi outlet, the commercial terms of the Tip & Toe collaboration, or a timetable for further Indian openings.
